Privacy
No Sheet Numbers uses analytics to understand how the site and its calculators are used. This page describes what's actually collected, what's deliberately excluded, and how collection varies by region. It's a factual, engineering-level description of what this site implements — not a legal compliance certification, and it doesn't claim to satisfy GDPR, UK GDPR, the Swiss FADP, or any other specific privacy law.
What analytics is used for
No Sheet Numbers uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand page usage, calculator usage, coarse calculator result states, and — on calculators that show provider recommendations — commercial offer impressions and commercial offer clicks. Google Analytics is not enabled on every build of this site; a page whose source doesn't reference googletagmanager.com is not sending it anything.
What Google Analytics collects
When enabled, Google Analytics records anonymous pageviews and a set of named events describing calculator usage — for example, that a calculator was started or completed, or that a provider recommendation was shown or clicked. It sets its own first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_<container-id>) to group activity into anonymous sessions, and, like any site using it, collects the standard request metadata Google Analytics collects by default: browser/user-agent information, referrer, and an approximate location derived from IP address. Google Signals and ad-personalization features are explicitly turned off in this site's Google Analytics configuration.
What calculator analytics never includes
Analytics events never carry the numbers you enter into a calculator — no salary, wage, staffing markup, bill rate, conversion fee, recruiting cost, or other financial assumption you type in. What's sent is limited to which calculator was used, coarse result categories (for example, which result state a calculator reached), and, where a provider is shown, which provider and whether it's a paid/affiliate relationship — never the inputs that produced that result. This is enforced in the site's own code: every event's fields are checked against a fixed, reviewed allowlist of coarse dimensions before anything is sent, and any field that isn't on that list is dropped rather than transmitted.
Regional analytics loading
Google Analytics is not loaded for visitors whose Cloudflare location indicates the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or an unknown location. That determination is made server-side, from Cloudflare's own request-time geography, before the page is served — in those cases, the page's source never includes a Google Analytics script, and no Google Analytics event ever leaves the browser. This is an analytics-region policy this site has chosen to apply, not a representation of comprehensive compliance with any specific law.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
No Sheet Numbers separately uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics feature enabled directly in Cloudflare's dashboard for this site rather than configured in this codebase. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or other client-side state, such as local storage, to collect its metrics, and it's configured here to exclude EU visitors from collection. It measures aggregate pageview and performance information only — it never receives any of the calculator or provider events described above.
Cookies & storage
If Google Analytics is enabled and loads for you, it sets its own first-party cookies as described above. Cloudflare Web Analytics sets none. No Sheet Numbers' own code doesn't set any cookies of its own, and doesn't write anything to local storage or session storage.
Affiliate & referral links
Some calculators show provider recommendations that include affiliate or referral links, which can carry tracking information used to credit a referral if you sign up or buy through one. See the Affiliate Disclosure page for how those relationships work and how each provider card is labeled.
